For our next Courage and Compassion event, I am excited to introduce to you Meg Gehred Hoornaert. Meg will share her story of how she and her family took a year “off” to travel the world. They left their house in San José for an adventure of a lifetime.
Meg, her husband Dean and their 2 children, Kylie, 9 and Dexter, 10 years old, started their voyage in Spain, where they got on their tandem bikes and biked through Europe, all the way up north to Sweden. Following that, they travelled through Africa, Asia, Australia and South-America. Upon arriving to the East Coast of United States, they got on their tandem bikes once again and biked all the way back home, to San José, California.
Meg will talk to us about their decision process, and how this trip materialized. She will also share with us some amazing stories and photos from her travels, as well as reflections on how all four of them overcame hardships on their path, and how this trip changed them all.
Come and join us for an evening of fun and inspiration, tea and homemade buns, as we listen to a woman who surely will inspire us!
